A Great Project

I was nominated for some of the criteria, but never was voted to win anything. This shows me that I have a lot of all-around abilities as a person because only standing out in one area and being no good at others usually doesn't help you in life. I came a few votes short to my good friend Royce in the instructor category because he is absolutely the best person in our shop at most things hands down, I just do my best to do what I can to compete. I'm surprised I wasn't put down in competitor at all because I always like a little bit of a challenge or a competition. I find "seeing channels" very important because by just looking at someone it can become obvious what's on their mind or how their day has been going whether good or bad. I;m no mind reader but when i meet someone eye to eye it usually becomes obvious of the mood they're in or the question they might be about to ask me.

Of Being Chosen For A Supervisor Position And Leadership Qualities

Today I was voted supervisor during an anonymous election in class. The election was in regards to various topics, such as confidant, competitor, friend (to whom I would lend the Olds Alero, to which I answered no one), etc. Each person who was chosen for champion exhibited qualities that their "title" should. For example, the "friend" (car loan) category was a "good driver," a careful observer of others and of the law. I believe that I was chosen as Supervisor because I have the appearance of being organized (I'm terribly scatterbrained and have awful short-term memory), can properly structure a sentence & meet deadlines (even though I can't read traditional clocks),  and take charge when needed.

Also, here's a helpful clicky-link to learn more about perception and seeing channels.

Seeing Channels

I think this activity was fun. I'm not a big fan of book work so this assignment definitely beat doing that. In a way, I also think this could come across as a little hurtful if you don't get voted for one of the categories you wanted. If you wanted to get voted for something but didn't you could just improve yourself so that you are a little more like what that category says. I liked that this showed what people in the class thought of you and I think we should do a few more things like this.

Who's Who

Many know me as being the loud one and I believe that is why I was chosen for Telephone Communication. Those who voted for me stated that that was the reason they chose me. "Seeing Channels" are important because by a persons body language you can really tell if they are listening to you or if they aren't even interested in what you have to say. I thought that this activity was a good excerise to have everyone see how the class see's them as and too see that maybe it has something with the way they present themselves in shop.

Jesseckaa

This was such a fun activity. Activities like this really do pull our class together. Even though some people believe that it may hurt your feelings I think that things like this can show you a lot, not necessarily hurt you. It shows you how you represent yourself as a person, because most of us don't realize it ourselves.

I won companion, and I didn't know that's how everyone thought about me. So it does make me feel good about myself. "Seeing Channels" is important because its how you represent yourself. If you're not sure how you come off as, this activity will surely reassure you.

The Friend Shanika's View

I had fun doing this. I was chosen for being a friend because i am a good friend. i am a good friend by not texting while driving. If i was chosen i would be a listener because i listen to what people are saying & if they need a advise i would be there. I was chosen few of the category but i don't remember. "Seeing Channels Are Important by on people is the body language, body posture, and eye movement. Well i was close on some but i didn't get chosen. But i am glad that people chosen me on some of the categories. :)
