The iSpies

After reading the article, The iSpies by Julia Angwin, I don't think it's right that people have the chance to be spying on everyone. I think it's a good idea for small businesses because they can what people are doing/searching on the internet but, I don't think that it's a good idea for just anybody. Like the lady they talked about in the article Ms. Hayes-Beaty, who is being monitered by Lotame Solutions, a company that uses sophisticated software called a “beacon” to capture what people are typing on a website. They were able to find out personal information about her like for example two of her favorite movies are “The Princess Bride” and “50 First Dates. I can only imagine what other information they are finding out about people.
